Jointech Debuts at the 6th Global AEO Conference

The 6th Global AEO Conference was held with great success in Shenzhen from May 8th to 10th, 2024. This significant event was organized by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and co-hosted by the General Administration of Customs of China and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. This event, themed "Harnessing the Power of AEO Programmes for Inclusive and Sustainable Global Trade,” attracted over 1,200 attendees from 108 countries.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Vice Minister of the General Administration of China Customs (GACC), Mr. Wang Lingjun, and the Mayor of Shenzhen City, Mr. Qin Weizhong, along with other distinguished guests and delegates.

The Global AEO Conference is the highest-level global meeting in the field of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and is considered the largest capacity-building activity of the WCO. The 6th Global AEO Conference was the first to be held in China, with the theme "Harnessing the Power of AEO Programmes for Inclusive and Sustainable Global Trade." Jointech, with its extensive experience in serving customs in over 40 countries and its latest AI products and systems that contributed to the enhancement of customs regulatory technology capabilities worldwide, was honored to participate in this grand event at the invitation of WCO.

During the conference, the General Administration of Customs of China signed Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Mutual Recognition Arrangements with the National Revenue Office of the Republic of Burundi and the Tax and Customs Administration of Iceland.

Chinese companies, including Huawei, Tencent, Nuctech, and Jointech, have demonstrated their commitment to honesty, compliance, and efficiency in international trade through keynote addresses and panel discussions. These collective efforts have significantly contributed to the development and recognition of the Chinese AEO brand on the global stage.

At the conference, Jointech delivered a speech themed 'Technical Practices for Customs Standardization, Digitization, and Automation under the AEO System,' showcasing its cutting-edge technological advancements and innovative practical examples. Additionally, Jointech actively participated in various discussions and exchange activities throughout the event.

At the AEO conference, Jointech set up an independent booth where it showcased solutions and case studies regarding customs in-transit asset management to customs officials from around the world. Specifically, technologies such as AI scene recognition, big data analytics, and cross-border transportation supervision were highlighted. These efforts received praise and recognition from attending officials. It also attracted high attention and coverage from Shenzhen TV and on-site media.


   

Meanwhile, Jointech's booth attracted significant attention from customs officials of various countries attending the conference. For instance, the Director of Customs from Burundi visited the Jointech exhibition site multiple times, expressing admiration for the use of our intelligent electronic customs locks. The representative from the Vietnam Customs Authority, Hong Thi Khanh NGUYEN, expressed their high regard for the longstanding friendly cooperation with Jointech in customs supervision projects and took commemorative photos at the booth. The customs authorities of the Middle East Alliance, Indonesia, and the WCO have engaged in numerous face-to-face exchanges and discussions. Additionally, representatives from Belarus Customs, Macau Customs, Indonesia Customs, Nigeria Customs, Zambia Revenue Authority, Sri Lanka Customs, among others, visited the Jointech exhibition site for exchanges and discussions.
