reefer containers

Currently, reefer containers are generally freight containers with a refrigeration system to maintain a frozen state. In order to operate the refrigeration system thereon, the power to drive the refrigeration system may come from the power supply on the port or from the power supply on the freight ship.

For reefer containers, the goods they transport may be food or non-food items, and generally need to be stored in an environment within a preset parameter range (eg, a preset temperature and humidity range). The goods transported on the reefer container can be further classified according to whether it needs to be frozen or cooled, and divided into cooled goods and frozen goods. For cooled goods, it is generally a perishable food. For example, foods such as fruits and vegetables, when perishable foods such as fruits and vegetables are transported from one dock to another, respiration occurs, and chemical action occurs inside the food, and continuous heat is generated and produced. gas.

In order to suppress the respiration of perishable foods in a timely manner, the refrigeration system on the refrigerated container must include an evaporator fan through which the heat dissipated by the perishable food is dissipated at a higher rate than it is produced. Considering that these perishable foods may have high value, such as tuna or drugs, it needs to meet the needs of shippers, freight managers, shipping companies and port operators, and such goods need to be safely transported intact. And to reach the destination. To this end, the operating parameters of the reefer container must be controlled to ensure that these perishable food items are stored in an environment with acceptable operating parameters.

At present, the operating parameters of the refrigeration system on the reefer container can be manually adjusted by the ship's technician or checked by a port technician. For a refrigerated container, an operating parameter display instrument is installed on the upper side, and the technician can read or record various operating parameters from above. Sometimes, the technician can also carry a portable device to download the operating parameter data of the refrigeration system through the data inquiry port on the refrigerated container. It should be noted that the refrigeration system is configured with an interrogation port, which is typically a serial port connected to a data logger. The data logger can record the data track of the refrigeration system and the tracking of atmospheric conditions. Operating parameters such as temperature and humidity can be recorded by sensors installed at different locations in the reefer container. In addition to temperature and humidity, the operating parameter data may also include other information such as the cooling rate of the air and the frequency of use of the evaporator fan.

In order to read or adjust the operating parameters of the refrigeration system on the refrigerated container, the technician is required to access the refrigerated container to view the operating parameters of the refrigeration system in real time and record, or adjust the operating parameters. Since the ship where the reefer container is located usually sails on the sea, the environment on the sea is bad, causing the ship to be bumpy and even bad weather such as storms and typhoons. This will cause the technician to be unable to safely approach the reefer container, so that it cannot be viewed in real time. Recording the operating parameters of the refrigeration system on the reefer container and adjusting the operating parameters can even seriously endanger the safety of the technician.

Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a technology that allows technicians to view and record the operating parameters of the refrigeration system on the refrigerated container and adjust the operating parameters in real time in any weather environment to achieve the working state of the refrigeration system on the refrigerated container. Timely control to ensure the quality of the goods stored on the reefer container, and will not affect their own life safety.
