Hard technology

The so-called hard technology refers to the various facilities, equipment, tools, and other material methods used in food cold-chain logistics activities, including transportation equipment, cold storage, and so on.

(1) Storage facilities. In food cold chain logistics, storage facilities are the main bearers for extending the food shelf life and ensuring food quality. The main infrastructure for storing resources is cold storage. An automatic temperature recorder or temperature and humidity meter shall be installed in the cold room; a temperature and humidity automatic control device may be set as required. Warehousing tools should be differentiated based on the type of cold chain food to prevent cross-contamination. Cold storage should meet the requirements of food sanitation. There should be sufficient capacity and appropriate refrigeration equipment to ensure that the cold storage temperature meets the specified requirements. The cold storage temperature fluctuation is controlled within ±2t. The design of cold storage is in compliance with the relevant regulations. A closed platform with a temperature below 15°C should be built, and it should be equipped with a sealed and filled-in dock with transport vehicles. Cold storage doors should be equipped with electric air curtains, plastic curtains or return cages and other insulation and moisture barrier devices.

(2) Discovery equipment. The transportation equipment is mainly to realize the transfer of frozen and frozen foods. Since the entire cold chain monitoring and logistics activities must always maintain the food at a suitable temperature, the corresponding transport equipment needs to have cooling and heat preservation functions. Refrigerated transport in the cold chain is a very important link. The selection and use of transport equipment is the key to the smooth operation of refrigerated transport. The main transport equipment used in cold chain logistics are: refrigerated trucks, railway refrigerated trucks, refrigerated ships, refrigerated containers, and refrigeration Aircraft and so on.

The cold chain monitoring food transportation equipment should have certain cooling capacity and good thermal insulation performance to ensure that the car body reaches the required temperature during transportation. Transportation equipment should be non-toxic, harmless, odorless, and non-polluting, and meet the relevant food hygiene requirements. The transport equipment compartment shall be equipped with an automatic temperature recording and recording basin to record the internal temperature of the carriage; the device shall be installed at a position easily visible from the outside of the carriage, and the time interval of the set record point shall not exceed 30 minutes. Carriage body should not be placed with sharp corners, angular or protruding objects and other facilities or items, so as not to damage the food, causing pollution. If transport equipment refrigeration systems use refrigerants that are hazardous to human health, warning signs or safety regulations must be set.

2. Soft technology

The soft technology, that is, the theory and methods of the natural sciences and social sciences are applied to various methods, supporting technologies, operational skills and procedures formed in the food cold-chain monitoring and logistics field, and mainly include management technology and information technology.
